Before approving an AI project, run seven checks.

This is not overcomplication. It is due diligence.

1. Problem: What are we actually solving?

2. Workflow: Is the process clear enough to improve?

3. Data: Is it accurate, permissioned and safe?

4. People: Who will use it, trust it, check it or be affected by it?

5. Cost: What is the true cost beyond the initial approval?

6. Ownership: Who owns the outcome?

7. Pause trigger: What evidence would make us stop, slow down or redesign?

AI due diligence is not only a technology check.

It is a leadership check.
